Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Features

Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Special weapons
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
